What Size LED Dance Floor Do I Need?

It's one of the first questions we hear, and the quickest answer starts with your guest count. Below is the exact size-to-guest mapping we use on our quote form, plus a few tips for deciding when to size up or down.

Guest Count to Floor Size

  • 16' x 16': Up to 80 guests

  • 18' x 18': 80 to 100 guests

  • 20' x 20': 100 to 140 guests

  • 22' x 22': 140 to 175 guests

  • 24' x 24': 175 to 200 guests

  • 26' x 26': 200 to 230 guests

  • 28' x 28': 230 to 300 guests

  • 30' x 30': 300 to 400 guests

  • 32' x 32': 400+ guests

  • Custom shape: Built around your room and layout

Sizes go up in 2-foot steps, so there's an option for nearly every guest list. Need something smaller than 16' x 16', such as a 10' x 10' floor for an intimate dinner? Ask us and we'll let you know what's possible.

How to Read the Table

Find your expected guest count and read across. If you're at the edge of two ranges, say 175 guests, consider the room, the crowd and how the floor will be used. The tips below help you decide which way to go.

When to Go Bigger

Lean toward the next size up when:

  • Your crowd loves to dance. Latin weddings, quinceañeras and high-energy parties often fill the floor all night.

  • You have choreography. A quinceañera court, a surprise dance or a live performance needs room to move in formation.

  • The floor is a visual centerpiece. If you're showing a monogram, logo or custom video, a larger floor shows the content off better.

When Smaller Works

Stay at the lower end for cocktail-style events or corporate receptions where dancing is secondary. A floor that feels a little full has more energy than one that looks half empty.

Plan the Room, Too

Leave space around the floor for tables, walkways and the DJ booth or band. We share venue-ready specs for power, load-in and dimensions with your planner or venue, so the layout works before event day. We install indoors and at outdoor and tented events, so mention the setting when you reach out.

Custom Shapes

Not every room is square. We also build custom shapes to fit around a stage, a runway or an unusual floor plan. Choose "Custom shape" on the quote form and describe the space in the notes.

Get a Recommendation

Still deciding? Choose "Not sure, recommend one" on our quote form and include your guest count, venue and floor plan if you have one. We'll recommend a size that fits your crowd and your room. Floors are limited per date, so reach out early.
